Carl & Lilian had a destination wedding at the beautiful island of Langkawi. Their wedding celebration was a few days affair. The 80 odd guests were put up at either the Sheraton Langkawi Beach Resort or the Fourseasons Resort Langkawi. The party started on 6 October with a family dinner at the Sunvillage Restaurant. The next day started with the Bridal Shower and Men's outing. Bridal Shower was held at the Beach Villa of Fourseasons Resort Langkawi whilst the men went out to sea for some sunbathing are drinks. A wedding eve dinner celebration was held at Bon Ton with traditional Malay cultural dance performance. The wedding day proper was on 8 October. It started late afternoon with a traditional chinese tea ceremony in front of Rhu Bar. It was then followed by the wedding ceremony conducted by a Buddhist monk from the Mahindarama Buddhist Temple in Penang. Cocktails followed with guests entertained by Strollers of Steel Guitars. Western set dinner was served at the Serai Restaurant adjacent to Rhu Bar. Guests were dancing and drinking to the music of Steel Guitars. A pair of Mandarin ducks sitting on a lotus plate were given as wedding favours. The whole decor setup was along the buddha/zen theme with lotus and lotus pods.
